How Does American Standard Air Conditioning Rate?May 2001Tyler, TX (May 2001) – As you know, American Standard Heating & Air Conditioning was reported in the May, 2001 issue of Consumer Reports magazine as having the best repair history according to a questionnaire completed by their readers. We have been notified by the legal department of Consumers Union, the publisher of the magazine, that commercial use of this material is prohibited. This prohibition covers use of the actual published material as well as the name of the magazine in any ad, whether on TV, radio, in print, on a billboard, etc. Consequently, working with our legal department, we have developed the following language which may be used to reference the results of this questionnaire: "American Standard Heating & Air Conditioning was recently rated the most trouble-free HVAC brand among fourteen leading manufacturers by readers of a national product testing publication." Any other statement regarding this article, regardless of wording, is PROHIBITED and may subject you to legal action. Further, for any MAF claims, we must approve all advertising prior to use and any reference to the Consumer Reports article, other than exactly as in the sentence above, will not be approved.
