Williams Plumbing Heating & Air Conditioning Donates Sweatshirts to Ground Zero Volunteers

Tyler, TX (January 30, 2002) –  One of American Standard Heating & Air Conditioning's independent dealers, Williams Plumbing Heating & Air Conditioning, recently donated more than 160 sweatshirts to volunteers at Ground Zero, the site of the World Trade Center terrorist attacks. Williams Plumbing Heating & Air Conditioning, of Greensboro, NC, decided to donate the sweatshirts upon hearing of the need from a news program. A Salvation Army volunteer at Ground Zero reported that because of the cold weather there was a need for warm clothing for the rescue workers.

"We thought that this would be an excellent way for us to help the volunteers, to help keep them warm as they are working so hard at the World Trade Center site," said Ms. Paula Strickland, owner of Williams Plumbing Heating & Air Conditioning. "This tragedy could have happened to us here in Greensboro, and in a way, it did because we're all Americans. Donating the shirts was a way for us to help."

Williams Plumbing Heating & Air Conditioning had an extra shipment of sweatshirts from an order received for their service technicians.
