I am a single mother with four children. We live in a chilly, dusty old house with a fuzzy grey Angora rabbit
named “Cloudy,” and English rabbit named “Oreo” and a guinea pig called “Butter.”
We are dreaming of a long snowy winter when we will have a toasty warm, clean house with Mom, kids and pets
all snuggling up around the fireplace reading books and playing games.
My oldest child has Down Syndrome and chronic allergies so her life would be especially more
comfortable if her room could have an air-filter system.
My son is blind and my third child suffered a brain injury so my seven year old is drawing our
picture. Please make this a warm and comfy winter for my family. It would warm our hearts as
much as our house if we could win this contest.

Dust Bunnies greet guests at the door.
Guests must think I don’t sweep the floor. But with three fluffy cats,
furry hair galore, I just can’t keep up with the dust mopping chore.
I’m so embarrassed when those dust balls scoot, American Standard help me not pollute!
Eating cat hair isn’t a riot I wish for my family a cat hair-free diet.
We also have issues with temperature settings. Downstairs we are freezing. Upstairs we are sweating!
What to wear?…A bikini AND sweater? American Standard you can make us feel better.
To be comfy, clean and allergy-free American Standard you’re what we need!

Plagued with allergies, sleep apnea, bronchitis and asthma, my family needs a comfy home.
To some, a comfy home involves furnishings and decorations, but to me the definition of a
comfy one means one with clean air, free of the allergens and other irritants that torture
my family. It is one absent of the buzzing of sound of my son’s nebulizer and the
deafening snoring of my husband…it is a healthy home. With the AccuClean system, not
only would my family be healthy, but we may even be able to get that dog for which
my children plead!

Our family lives in Tucson, Arizona where we have many days over 100° during the
summer. We also have dust/monsoon storms that come up from Mexico. The rain from the monsoons
provides lots of water to plants which in turn bloom creating a pollen havoc for allergy
sufferers.
Because it is so dry here, dust bunnies multiply and our pets (two cats and one dog)
bring in logs of dirt and dander. We could really use a good filtration system to help
keep down the dust, dander and pollen in our comfy home. Thank you.

In 2005 we brought our first child home from China, and 19 months later,
we returned to adopt her best friend. The kids' orphanage was clean, but bare. We
have tried to make the kids' new home as cozy, inviting and warm as possible, but
that means the kids now have to contend with dog hair, carpet and furnishings that
collect dust, allergies, working parents who spend precious "spare" time helping
them learn English and catch up in school rather than dusting and vacuuming, and
a chilly over-the-garage bedroom. Please help make the kids' forever home cleaner,
healthier and comfier!

[Hans, “…Mom can we please put the Asthma stuff away? My friends are coming over.”]
We are a Midwest family of six, including four young children, all boys: Nils (13),
Hans (10), Lars (6), and Sven (3). Our home was built in 1971 and still has
the original wall-to-wall high pile carpeting. Our cleaning skills get a
thorough daily challenge from the never-ending dusting and vacuuming. I
know what it takes to run a clean household; on the weekends I clean houses
for extra income.
We have tried an individual home room air cleaner, but it was noisy and inefficient.
Despite my effort to keep our home comfy and clean, the air quality inside is not
healthy. The resident critters in our home consist of two hamsters Munchkin and Luey.
Our cat Maxx and another hamster Huey recently passed away.
All four of our children have tested positive for allergies to dust, and our
youngest three boys have Asthma. Our living room has been turned into a mini
hospital ward hosting breathing machines, masks, inhalers, and medicines. We
desperately want to improve our indoor air pollution and help our children feel
healthy.
Thank you for considering our family.

Since the day we moved into our house seven years ago, my wife has complained about
the dust. I hear about the dust on a weekly basis, sometimes daily. It is funny how the dust
topic comes up in conversations. I will be greeted when I come home from work with a “hello
how was your day” and in the same breath, “why do we have so much dust in this house?” I
welcome the day, when dust is not such a dirty topic in my house. That would be the day our
home is truly cleaner, comfier, and healthier!
