Enjoy the simplicity and ease of temperature control with a traditional thermostat. Featuring large display screens, filter change alerts and more, controlling your home temperature has never been easier.

There are many different thermostats offered by American Standard that typically fall into two categories: traditional and smart thermostats. The traditional thermostats are affordable and many come with the ability to program and schedule what temperatures you want for specific times. The smart thermostats add a little more functionality, including the ability to remotely control your home’s temperature.
American Standard® Diagnostics works in conjunction with American Standard’s smart thermostats to send real-time data on your HVAC system’s performance to your dealer. Through diagnostics, your dealer can remotely monitor your system to ensure optimal performance and prevent minor issues from turning into major repairs, ensuring the highest level of service.

Our traditional thermostats include basic programmable thermostats and entry-level non-programmable thermostats. Like every American Standard product, reliability is built in. You might choose one of these thermostats if you feel like you don’t want or need all of the extra options that come with smart thermostats.
Traditional thermostats are easy to use. Non-programmable thermostats are the simplest. You set the indoor temperature you want, and it stays there until you change it. Programmable thermostats have an intuitive interface that allows you to set a schedule for different times of day and the days of the week.
Setting a lower or higher temperature (depending on the season) for while you’re away can help you save money on your energy bills.
If you grew up with (or still have!) the old circular dial thermostat with tiny numbers or a toggle switch thermostat with equally tiny numbers, you’ll appreciate the digital display of our newer traditional thermostats.
The inside temperature is displayed large enough to be seen easily. Depending on the unit, you may have a touchscreen or buttons to push to raise or lower the temperature. Most units also display the time, and some can display the outdoor temperature or indoor humidity level.
If you have a single-stage or two-stage HVAC system, our traditional thermostats are compatible.
