Stay warm and cozy inside with a furnace that is energy efficient and durable. American Standard gas furnaces are built to a higher standard so they can effectively burn a fuel source, like propane or natural gas, to produce heat for your home from scratch. Furnaces are great for homeowners who experience cold winters with consistently low temperatures to get the heat they need quickly.

American Standard has a well-deserved reputation for providing efficient and well-engineered HVAC equipment to homeowners across the country. Our gas furnaces are known for their efficiency and durability, providing you with a comfortable home no matter what the weather outside is.
We have a wide variety of natural gas furnaces to fit your home size, heating needs, and budget. If you don’t have natural gas lines nearby, select furnaces can burn propane if your dealer installs a conversion kit.
Two-stage furnaces and single-stage furnaces can both keep homes comfortable in the wintertime. Your American Standard dealer can help you decide how many heating stages you need and what fuel efficiency is the best option for where you live and your heating needs.
High-efficiency furnaces are condensing furnaces, with two heat exchangers to help ensure fuel efficiency. A furnace with an Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency (AFUE) of 90 or higher qualifies as high efficiency. Our Platinum 95 Gas Furnace, with an AFUE of up to 97.3%, a modulating gas valve, and a variable speed blower motor, is our most efficient furnace.
“A high-efficiency furnace makes sense in regions with colder climates and higher utility costs. These furnaces use less gas to produce the same amount of heat, which translates to lower energy bills for homeowners.”
-Amy Gulas, Furnace Product Manager
In addition to the traditional furnace and air conditioner combination, American Standard furnaces are well-suited for pairing with a heat pump in a hybrid heating system. The heat pump acts as an air conditioner in the summer and then heats your home until the falling temperatures make the heat pump less efficient. When it gets too cold for the heat pump to heat efficiently, the furnace takes over. This system offers you both energy efficiency and comfort. It also helps reduce carbon emissions.
Durability is built into our energy-efficient HVAC equipment to ensure your system lasts. In our SEET Lab in Tyler, TX, they endure eight consecutive two-week sessions under accelerated conditions, adding up to more than 2,600 hours of continuous testing. That’s years’ worth of wear and tear concentrated into four months. All to ensure only the best, most reliable systems make it into our customers’ homes.
